Insurance & fees

Clear costs, before you start.

I'm in network with most major plans, and self-pay and out-of-network options are available. You'll know what you're paying before your first session.

In-network plans

  • BlueCross BlueShield In network
  • Aetna In network
  • UnitedHealthcare / Optum In network
  • Cigna In network

Plans change often. Call the member services number on your card and ask about outpatient mental health benefits, your deductible, and your copay or coinsurance.

Using insurance

I submit claims on your behalf. You're responsible for your copay, coinsurance, or deductible under your plan. Insurers generally require a diagnosis to cover therapy; we'll talk about what that means for you before anything is billed.

Out of network

If your plan isn't listed, you may still have out-of-network benefits. I can provide a superbill you submit to your insurer for partial reimbursement.

Self-pay

Some clients choose to pay directly for privacy or flexibility; no diagnosis goes to an insurer. Call or email for current rates. A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available.

Your right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the federal No Surprises Act, if you're uninsured or not using insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. You can ask for one before scheduling, and if your bill is at least $400 more than the estimate, you can dispute it. Learn more at cms.gov/nosurprises.

Questions about coverage?

Call and I'll walk you through it. It's easier to sort out together than alone on hold with your insurer.
